Gate House Museum kicks off Civil War series
A small sewing needle began Sherry Hartman’s fascination with Civil War history, she said.
As a child, Hartman found herself wondering about the construction of the bell-like skirts common to women of the mid-to-late 19th century, she told a crowd Sunday afternoon at Sykesville’s Gate House Museum.
