Summerville Community Marches Against Confederate Flag

Summerville residents marched Saturday in protest of a confederate flag. Nearly 80 Brownsville neighbors, a historically black community in Summerville, sang and chanted in front of Annie Caddell’s home, a white woman who refuses to remove her confederate flag.

Caddell met the protestors with her own group of supporters. Some 15 people stood in her yard along with a number of confederate battle flags.

“Legally, Caddell has a right to fly a confederate flag in her yard. But, neighbors say it is disrespectful to community she lives in. Protestors say they want to meet with Caddell to negotiate a compromise.”

A compromisefor what? What fair compromise could be reached? Only fly it on the 3rd Friday of every month?
    NO COMPROMISE! NO APOLOGY!
The best thing the protestors could do is study the North’s role in the importation of slaves!
Study the smoke and mirror Abolition laws that allowed Blacks to be held in servitude in the “Free States”
Study the Black exclusionary laws that land locked all black Americans into the South!
