Love of history inspires minister

Michael Betts, of Mishawaka, said he always loved history.

“It was one of my favorite subjects (in school) other than lunch,” he said at a recent presentation at the American Heritage Roundtable at the Mishawaka-Penn-Harris Public Library in downtown Mishawaka.

But Betts, now a Civil War chaplain re-enactor, said he wasn’t really interested in the Civil War back then.
