Reenactors take pride in keeping history on track

The blue uniforms outnumber the gray uniforms, just as it would have been during the Civil War.

“We have to honor our ancestors,” said reenactor Bob Ford, of Hinesville, Ga. “If there are three times as many gray as blue, that doesn’t honor those who fought.”

The goal was to keep things as realistic as possible at the inaugural Civil War reenactment — called the Pellicer Creek Raid — at the Florida Agricultural Museum in Palm Coast held Saturday and Sunday.
