Learn ‘Why Lincoln Fought the Civil War’

Guest speaker Richard Schwartz, an Abraham Lincoln authority, will present “Why Lincoln Fought the Civil War” during the next Montville Twp. Historic Society’s program on Monday, Nov. 8, at 7:30 p.m.

Schwartz is noted for giving some of the best presentations at the meetings of the North Jersey Civil War Round Table. He is the Whippany Park’s Social Studies department coordinator and coordinates the Hanover Park Regional High School District’s induction program for non-tenured teachers. He teaches courses in U.S. History, American Politics and Government, and World Affairs.
