City gives Civil War museum $44,000

With a little more than 60 days before work on the project is to be completed, Tiffin City Council agreed to grant $44,000 to the American Civil War Museum of Ohio.

Bids for the museum, which is to be open in the Cornerstone building, 217 S. Washington St., were opened Thursday and the low bid was about $413,399 – leaving a shortfall of $41,999 in money raised for the project so far.
