Grant helps history come alive

A grant announced this week will help the Muscatine Art Center and its partners kick off next year’s observance of the 150th anniversary of the start of the Civil War.

The $46,388 grant, awarded by the Roy J. Carver Charitable Trust, will pay for an exhibit that recreates a battlefield campground using Civil War artifacts.
