Shaker Museum’s focus turns toward outbreak of Civil War

The Shaker Museum at South Union will travel back in time Saturday to the early 1860s, starting with breakfast as it hosts “A Shaker Breakfast.”

“Our Shaker Breakfast is a long tradition,” said Kaelin Vernon, operations manager at the museum.

The breakfast is offered in conjunction with the museum’s Civil War Living History, where it spends the day demonstrating life as it was during the Civil War.
