150 Years Later, Civil War Hits Home In The Valley
November 8, 2010 | Posted by javal On Saturday, a presentation was held at Fort Steuben to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Civil War.
During the presentation, historian Jeff Evans made it very clear how deeply rooted the history of the war is for Steubenville.
A location on the river cut Steubenville off from trade and the economy very early in the war, Evans said.
