Honoring Lincoln, remembering sacrifice

I have fond memories of working at events on Nov. 19 while I was in college. From escorting cemtery speakers, to handing out programs at the Majestic during the Fortenbaugh Lecture, I was there. It was also great to get a chance to attend parades, balls, and living history demonstrations each year, and I still get a thrill out of seeing all of the spirit put into remembering the anniversary of the Gettysburg Address each year.

Here’s a full rundown of this year’s events, with thanks to my sources: GNMP, Gettysburg Foundation, the Gettysburg CVB, Gettysburg College, and Dr. Allen Guelzo. Most events, unless otherwise noted, are free and open to the public.
