November 30, 2010 | Posted by javal Last week, on my way to Pennsylvania for Thanksgiving, my fiance and I stopped at Manassas National Battlefield Park in Virginia. The trip north is normaly 9 hours, so a stop midway helps break up all that time sitting in a car.
Growing up in Pennsylvania, you learn very early about the Civil War, mainly Gettsyburg. I’ve been to the battlefield numerous times as a kid, and we have plans to return. But since I’ve left Pa., I try to visit other sites to get a broader and more complete understanding of the Civil War.
