Alexandria Readies Plans to Commemorate 150th Anniversary of Civil War
December 1, 2010 | Posted by javal The City of Alexandria is planning to recognize the unique role that it played in the Civil War with events beginning in January and expected to continue for several years.
The city was transformed during the war from a prosperous town with Southern alliances into an armed camp behind Northern lines.
