Ceremonies foreshadow war’s 150th anniversary
December 6, 2010 | Posted by javal Observances of the anniversary of Civil War battles in Middle Tennessee have become more elaborate in recent years, especially in Franklin, as the 150th anniversary of the war approaches.
The timeline of Tennessee’s official involvement in the war began 150 years ago next month, though political discussion of secession and the formation of a confederacy started much earlier. Following are some of the milestones of the Civil War in the state, especially in Middle Tennessee:
