Livingston County to mark Civil War’s 150th

April 12, 1861 was a crucial day in the history of the United States, and 150 years later, Livingston County will begin a four-year-long commemoration on the local impact of the Civil War.

About a dozen people  interested in this project – from town historians to librarians – met in the Livingston County Historians Office Nov. 30 to discuss how to commemorate the sesquicentennial of the war.
