Pearce Museum brings visitors face-to-face with Civil War
The Pearce Museum’s Civil War collection is one of the best in the country, says director Holly Beasley Wait.
She bolsters her claim by citing a few of the museum’s relics from the Union and Confederacy.
“Over 15,000 original documents, letters, maps, reports, journals and diaries make up the collection along with an elite collection of period photographs and artifacts. Letters and orders written by Lincoln, Davis, Grant, Lee, Jackson and so many more are in the care of the museum’s archives.
