Historian fights to mark Civil War soldiers’ final resting place

Mark Hughes has visited countless national cemeteries since he was a child. For 25 years, he’s researched the final resting places of soldiers who served on both sides of the Civil War.

But ask the Cleveland Community College instructor about the Salisbury National Cemetery, not quite 90 miles up the road, and he’s quick to give his opinion.
