Citizen group forms to coordinate Civil War anniversary events

Flipping through a drawer of black-and-white photographs in the basement of the New York State Military Museum, Michael Aikey pulled out a baseball card-sized imprint of Capt. Seth Deyoe.

Within minutes, the museum director was able to learn that Deyoe was a 24-year-old soldier from Wilton who joined New York’s 77th regiment and took up arms with the Union Army at the advent of the Civil War.
