Lectures on abolitionism, Lincoln mark Civil War anniversary
January 26, 2011 | Posted by javal The first of two series of lectures commemorating the sesquicentennial of the Civil War begin on Thursday in Franklin and in Nashville.
Beginning at 4:10 p.m. Thursday in Room 101 of Buttrick Hall on the Vanderbilt University campus in Nashville, South Carolina State University history professor Stanley Harrold will present Abolitionism and the Coming of the Civil War.
