Civil War still has scholars talking
January 27, 2011 | Posted by javal A century and a half after the Civil War, scholars still are examining the effects and reasons behind the war — including some that linger today — that fractured the United States.
That discussion will continue publicly today, as the Battle of Franklin Trust launches a lecture series at Carnton Plantation in Franklin.
