Robert Redford’s Civil War ‘Conspirator’ teases trailer

We have been tracking Robert Redford’s “The Conspirator” since witnessing its debut at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival. Lionsgate and Roadside acquired the historical drama at TIFF, and plans an April release. But this morning, you get your first extended look at the film’s trailer.

Redford’s “Conspirator” stars James McAvoy as Civil War attorney Frederick Aiken, a veteran of the Union Army who had been practicing law near the end of the bloody conflict and found himself defending Mary Surratt (Robin Wright), a Southerner accused of conspiring with John Wilkes Booth (Toby Kebbell) to kill President Abraham Lincoln.
