Visitor Center rate hike ‘not newsworthy’

Without making an official announcement, rates at the Gettysburg Battlefield Visitor Center were increased by three dollars today to see the facility’s museum, movie and Cyclorama painting.

Gettysburg Foundation spokeswoman Due Anne Neil told 1320 WGET that an announcement wasn’t necessary, because in her opinion, the rate hike isn’t newsworthy.

“We would totally have to disagree with those people, because this is just normal operating procedure for anyone that operates an attraction at this level,” said Neil.
