Artifacts from CSS Pee Dee are on display in Conway

The Horry County Museum has a display of artifacts recovered from the sunken CSS Pee Dee.

The Pee Dee was a 150-foot Macon class gunboat outfitted with two Brookes rifled cannon and a Union Dahlgren cannon that was launched in January 1865 from its Mars Bluff Navy Yard on the Great Pee Dee River in Marion County.
