African Americans in the Civil War

 Hari Jones, a researcher at the African American Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C., visits the city at the invitation of the Seacoast African American Cultural Center.

Jones’ multi-media presentation is at Portsmouth Public Library from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Jones will share his research about the role of underground intelligence gathering activities of Black Americans during the Civil War.
