Civil War Museum offers family program

The Civil War Museum will present “Civil War Sunday: Missing Home” Sunday, March 7. Drop in anytime from 1:30-3:30 p.m.

Soldiers in the Civil War had to spend significant amount of time away from their families.  How did they remember their families?  Animals were very important reminders of home. Many groups of soldiers had mascots which included bears, badgers, eagles,and dogs. Families can create pictures of their own pets.
