Kenosha: Foodie finds and civil war insights

f you’re disenchanted with the current crop of political candidates, you may be ready to cast your vote for a couple of presidential aspirants, circa 1860. At the Civil War Museum, opened in September 2008 at Kenosha, Wis., you’ll find details of these politicians and issues they supported.

It was the most polarizing and divisive election in United States history as four candidates vied for election to the top post. Focusing on issues such as slavery, federalism and sectionalism, as well as tariffs and other economic issues, this election set the stage for the American Civil War.
