Westport seeks local Civil War information
May 10, 2010 | Posted by javal Town historians are seeking whatever information and assistance they can get for an upcoming commemoration of the American Civil War — and specifically stories or artifacts of Westport residents involved in the war.
In a statement, the Westport Historical Society noted that 2011 marks the 150th anniversary of the Civil War. With this in mind, the group has begun a search for information on Westport residents who were involved.
