New shrubs stolen from Civil War memorial
Five rhododendron bushes were uprooted and stolen earlier this month from a Civil War monument.
The small shrubs were planted this spring at a traffic island memorial on Winter Street, just across from Salem Common. The landscaping was done by the Salem Common Neighborhood Association in preparation for the upcoming Memorial Day weekend.
