Stroudsburg Civil War memorial cannon scheduled for repair

Monroe County did not officially recognize its natives who fought and died in the Civil War until Memorial Day 2009.

That’s when a dedication plaque was mounted on one of two cast-iron Civil War cannons, installed in 1897, at the Courthouse Square war memorial in downtown Stroudsburg.
