Museum Tracing Steps Of Civil War Orphan

A local museum is honoring South Sebastian County’s role in the American Civil War.

 

For the next five years the Old Jail Museum in Greenwood will be sharing artifacts and stories of the families who lived through that era.

Sarah Ann Campbell was 6 years old when she was left an orphan during the Civil War. The museum’s curator Donna Goldstein is working to see if Sarah ever met up with her relatives after being shipped from Greenwood to Cairo, Illinois.
