It’s … CIVIL WAR … re-enacted
The Civil War era returned to Sauk City this weekend, with the crack of musket fire, the boom of cannons, the clank of a blacksmith straightening iron, and even the clip-clopping of horse hooves roaming August Derleth Park.
The Sauk City Historic Preservation Committee hosted the city’s seventh annual Civil War Weekend, drawing about 100 re-enactors and volunteers from around the state.
