Vietnam vet now focuses on a much earlier war

Tom O’Donnell often feels fatigued. He can’t keep his leg from shaking, or his hands. He stoops when he walks. O’Donnell, who celebrated his 67th birthday Tuesday, is losing feeling in his torso.

But he can rattle off detailed troop movements from Civil War battles. A combat veteran of one war, O’Donnell is fascinated by another.
