McClellan: Fighter or all talk, no walk
Maj. Gen. George McClellan learned his lessons too well.
He learned from Gen. Winfield Scott, for example, “not to move until I know that everything is ready.”
McClellan applied that lesson so well during the Civil War that it stretched Abraham Lincoln’s patience to its limit and cost McClellan his command.
