Key West’s largest ferry providing daily transportation to the Dry Tortugas National Park will be dry docked for maintenance starting September 7th. The anticipated return to service is October 3rd. This removes 100 passenger-seats from the daily tour capacity.
The smaller Dry Tortugas ferry boat with 95 seats will remain in daily service. The fastest way to get to the island is onboard The Dry Tortugas Seaplane. These flights provide an additional 10 seats for morning and afternoon departures. The Seaplane tour, one of Key West’s most popular tends to book out completely even when both boat ferries are in use. Advanced reservations in September are a must to insure a seat.
