Union, Confederate troops still spar at re-enactment
August 23, 2010 | Posted by javal Loud, concussive cannon booms rang out across the Pinecrest Historical Village battlefield Saturday afternoon as Union and Confederate soldiers fought to the death.
Not, literally, of course, but the men in gray and blue uniforms remembering the Civil War did entertain and help educate several hundred attending the Manitowoc County Historical Society-sponsored event.
