National Park Area On Missionary Ridge May Expand
August 25, 2010 | Posted by javal Rick Wood of the Trust for Public Land said Tuesday that an effort is underway to expand the small holdings of the National Park on historic Missionary Ridge.
The Union charge up the steep Ridge on Nov. 25, 1863, was one of the most dramatic events of the Civil War and was a major turning point in the four-year struggle.
