Big crowd expected for Gettysburg casino hearing
August 27, 2010 | Posted by javal Anyone planning to attending a hearing over a plan to build a casino near the Gettysburg battlefield should bring comfortable shoes.
With more than 220 speakers scheduled to testify at next week’s hearing, Gaming Control Board spokesman Doug Harbach says it’s likely to be a standing-room only affair. That’s even after the hearing at the Cumberland Township Comfort Suites hotel was scheduled to go into a second day.
