Take a walk through Cincinnati’s Civil War history
August 31, 2010 | Posted by javal Creators of the Newport Gangster Tour are at it again, launching their fourth local walking tour — this one celebrating Cincinnati‚s Civil War history.
The tour of several sites in Over-the-Rhine will explore the stories of Cincinnati’s Black Brigade, a German-speaking regiment known as the “Dutch Devils” and Sister Mary Anthony O’Connell, a Cincinnati nun whose innovative techniques for battlefield triage earned her the nickname, “Angel of the Battlefield.”
