History comes alive for students in ‘Uncivil War’

That he is. Adams learned a lot about the Civil War of the 1860s from 104 letters written and sent by his great-great-great-grandfather, David Brainard Griffin, to his wife back in Fillmore County, Philinda Minerva Griffin.
