Trails planned for Jackson Hill

Plans to take advantage of Rome’s Jackson Hill as a tourist destination have been floating around City Hall for 75 years.

Assistant City Manager Sammy Rich won approval from the city’s Community Development Services committee Wednesday to begin the process of developing a trail network to take advantage of work that was first suggested by the Works Progress Administration in 1935.
