Civil War tributes make Manassas tourism hot spot

Manassas could soon rival Gettysburg as a historic tourist destination. At least, that’s the hope after the town was named a primary tourist destination in 2011 by a leading tourism association.

The commemoration Manassas is planning to mark the 150th anniversary of the Civil War prompted the American Bus Association to list the site of the Civil War’s first major battle as the premiere destination for its bus tours.
