Battle breaks out at local museum
It was a close battle. Cannons shook the ground, and the crack of rifles tore through the misty air. Both Union and Confederate soldiers fell.
It was a page from history played out at the Lincoln County Historical Museum Saturday. Audiences watched as the first day of the Battle of Gettysburg was reenacted on the museum’s grounds. The museum village represented Gettysburg. The date was July 1, 1863.
