Grants available for Civil War commemorations

The Arkansas Civil War Sesquicentennial Commission announced today it will award grants of up to $2,000 for projects in the state commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Civil War.

The grants will be awarded four times per year, provided funding is available. Projects must be executed between 2011 and 2015.

When I first saw this headline, I thought the article would say that an association of Ulysses S. Grant presenters was advertising the availability of its members to participate in various Sesquicentennial events.
