November 10, 2010 | Posted by javal A special traveling exhibit from the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield, Ill., will be at the Wabash County Museum for two weeks only.
The exhibit will open on Tuesday, Nov. 23, and will close on Dec. 7. Exhibit hours will be daily (except Nov. 25, Thanksgiving Day) from 2 to 5 p.m.

November 5, 2010 | Posted by javal Oregon’s official festival is the latest not-for-profit organization to donate money to help refurbish a veteran’s monument on the Ogle County Courthouse lawn.
Autumn on Parade donated $500 toward the Soldier & Sailors Monument Oct. 21 bringing the total raised to $4,684. The cost to repair and refurbish the monument is estimated at $7,500.

The GAR Memorial Hall Post 20 was built in 1878 at 23 E. Downer Place as a monument to those who fought in the Civil War.
