Similarities 1. 2 greatest manhunts in history: Booth and Bin Laden 2. proof required in identification and dna at death 3. conspiracy theories abound unless identification done properly 4. great joy at capture and death by citizens 5. Navy Seals and 16th NY Cavalry--bad dudes (except for Boston Corbett..he almost found himself court marshalled by Stanton) 6. rewards: both were and will be contested...you watch 7. role of Pakistan and South Maryland/Virginia in harboring. 8. Who was the Willie Jett of Pakistan?

I think you can drop DNA as they didn't use DNA evidence back then. It wasn't until 1869 that Friedrich Miescher discovered DNA, and he called it nuclein. It was twenty years later that his pupil, Richard Altmann, renamed in nucelic acid. 1865 scientists might have postutlated it's existence, but no one was using it for IDing folks at that time.
