I clicked through the banner ad at the top of this blog to see a promotional video about Richmond and its role in the filming of “Lincoln”. I encourage you to click though as well - doesn’t the site earn revenue from click through?

I was surprised how much of Virginia was in the film, in particular the use of the Virginia Sate house for the debate over the 13th amendment. In the same chamber where legislators once voted for secession to preserve slavery, debate over the 13th amendment was reenacted.

“Lincoln” is good for Richmond in a number of ways.
