:)Hi, I just registered. I am 64 years young, US Army retired. Been reading Civil War literature all of my life. Own Gods and Generals and Gettysburg movies along with Glory. I am thinking of getting in to reenacting since I am semi retired from my second career and have a lot of time on my hands. My ancestors on both sides of the family arrived in America long after the conflict.

I basically had two careers in the Army: from 1964-70 I was a communications intelligence analyst(98C). From 1976-91 I reentered the Army and became an MP followed by CID. How about you?
My favorite battle to research is Gettysburg.

Wow MSG! Quite a career. CID is no joke. I am a tanker (19K) at Ft. Bliss for the moment.

Mark,
Interesting that you are at Ft. Bliss.  I've been reading a lot about the Regiment of Mounted Riflemen who were there in the 1850s, before the late unpleasantness.

Welcome to our new member.
