Welcome, Sorrel.
Although I have lived in Ohio for twenty years, I am a Montgomery County native just like you. I've managed to maintain my allegiance to the Phillies, Flyer, and Eagles all these years. It's hard as hell being a Philadelphia sports fan, but I remain optimistic that I will see at least one more championship come home to the City of Brotherly Love in my lifetime--the last one was the 76'ers in 1983!

Sorrel,
I was born in Bristol in Bucks County and lived in Abington until I was about ten. My parents then moved to Reading, where they still live. My cousins lived in Meadowbrook.
You're a young 'un. I was 22 in 1983 when the Sixers won.
I'll be 46 in just over a week. I can only hope I see another championship. The Eagles won their last one about three months before I was born.....

Howdy from NoVA, Old Sorrel. The other day you posted that on your honeymoon you went "out west" to TN.
That tickled me, because I'm originally from Wyoming, where we considered Nebraska as "back east." My mental compass is skewed. hm?
You'll find lots of good opinions in here, so welcome!

Patty , living here in California my whole life I have the same reaction you do to going out west. I orginially thought the Western Theater did mean at least Texas!!!! I guess it is all in where you are. I still get turned around the east coast, the ocean is in the wrong place!
