If I didn't already have enough sites to visit concerning the Civil War, now here's another one. This looks very interesting and I hope in the future to contribute something of value here. I am currently in the process of writing a full-scale biography of a gent named Everton Conger, who was in charge of the troops that captured John Wilkes Booth and who was recently featured on a National Geographic documentary called "The Hunt for Lincoln's Assassin". I played a small part in that documentary and actually even appeared on camera a few times. Even though the documentary got things wrong, it was the first time part of Conger's story was brought to a national audience.
Glad I found this site.
Almost forgot to mention, my avatar is a picture of Conger in later life.
Best
Rob
