John Singleton Mosby was a friend of the Patton family and George Patton grew up listening to his Civil War stories. I wonder if Mosby influenced him in some way?

There are several command tenets that can be *explained* but not necessarily *taught*. Among these are agility and initiative. A commander either has them or not... HankC
