Had to crawl out of my sick-bed to catch the re-run of the Speed report. All our guys are starting at the back tomorrow because of changing engines. That'll be hoot, watch 'em push thru the crowd.

I've decided to assign Ole and Pvt. Clewell drivers so they can share in the fun.

I think Robby Gordon and Ole are a perfect match. Ole gets the #7 Jim Beam Dodge!

And, I'm thinking Patrick Carpentier for Pvt. Clewell.

Yeah, that works!

Oh, yeah, and awesome on the Furniture Row guys!

Couldn't care less about Front Row Joe, but happy as the dickens about The Herminator. And, awfully happy to see a little operation get BOTH it's cars in.

(I miss Ward Burton, and will be pulling all I can for Robby Gordon - Go, Small Fries! Go!)

Oh, wasn't that wonderful? It was as much fun watching Herman's post race interview as it was seeing Junior win again. WOO-HOO!!

Kj, I had to record it all! Working & sick today and cain't wait to see it all when I can truly take it in.

I got a list of drivers I want so much to see make on time. They all cain't do it, so my heart gets broke for more than once every qualifying day.

But when one of those guys makes it, I jest light up.

Since Smoke and Junior cain't win them all, this year, I want to see win:

Awesome Bill
Sterling Marlin
Kenny Schrader
Kenny Wallace

and hey, I got at least three more. I'm so tired, tomorrow I'll be embarrassed that they didn't roll off my tongue and onto the keyboard. Fine drivers not finding thet right ride, when they make my heart soar...

Every time I watch qualifying, there are about 6 go-or-go-homers who my heart breaks for.

But- whoo-hoo Herminator; for sure I am jest so happy for him and will be cheering him on awful hard.

That's a good list of drivers to cheer for, JoanieReb. Hope you're feeling better by Sunday. Gawd, that'd be awful to be too sick to watch Daytona!

How could I forget Bobby Lebonte?

I gotta stop now - shorted some drivers, but have to sleep.

J reb you need some of that energy drink they keep advertising on speed, seriously hope you get to feeling better soon. Was cool to watch JR win his 125 hope he does well in the 500 . JG did pretty well especially in a race with no teammates. Did you all catch the language used by the Red bull driver that didnt make it wonder how nascar will feel about A$$ hittin the air waves?

Yeah, I heard the "colorful" language. Well, NASCAR said it was going to let the boys be boys, and allow some of that earthier language. It still annoys the crap out of me, how NASCAR came down on some drivers a while back and actually took championship points away from them for saying things like hell and damn. Fines? Maybe. Taking away points? That was too much. You take away points for something done on the track, not because a driver made a miscue in a post-race interview!

OK, gotta post this before Daytona tomorrow. I'm stuck in a NASCAR fans hell. My driver (Martin) has been "semi-retired" for a year or two now. Still races, and I'll always be a Martin fan. But time has come to choose an heir apparent - one who may have both the talent and the character to follow in Mark's footsteps.

So put me on record..... Denny Hamlin - Mr. FedEx - will be the driver of the year. So there....+_  Smoke who? Junior who? Jeffy who?

Okay. Okay. If you feel the need to cheer for Denny, go ahead. :P

I do like the idea of Mark Martin driving the #8 car part of this season. Couldn't think of a better man to be behind the wheel of that car for DEI.

(Or is it TEI these days? *snickering*)
